Came to England from Holland in 1304 when aged about 30, on settlement of Flemings in England. Nothing is known of his parents or ancestors, nor his wife. We believe there is a shrine to the "WE Sternes" somewhere in what is now Holland or Belgium, but I cant find it. Does anyone know of this shrine or have any hints on researching that region for records around 1270's?
